The Project Engineer is a technical leader for their team on site and land development design projects. This position coordinates closely with the Project Manager to develop and execute project specific goals within a team environment. The Project Engineer is responsible for preparing project expectations, reviewing and preparing plans for technical and regulatory compliance, and ensuring that the product provided to the client meets the standard of excellence set by the company. This role includes coordinating with the Project Manager to determine project priorities, guiding projects and project budgets successfully, and elevating associate's technical capabilities. This position requires the greatest level of care for the company's project deliverables and team growth dynamics to provide the best service and quality to our clients.



  • Experience within the industry on diverse projects and project types to bring creativity and technical competence to engineering challenges.
  • Lead a design team on site and land development design projects. 
  • Share technical knowledge and expertise to grow others.
  • Prepare task scheduling to ensure that deliverables can be completed in a timely manner by the team based on agreed upon Client's expectations.
  • Work with the Team Leader to manage labor expectations, team workloads, and budgets for current and future projects.
  • Build your personal expertise through outside training, personal study, and industry events. 
  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field. 


  • Communicate and track individual team member technical progress and provide verbal and written feedback to associates and the Team Leader.
  • Prepare and document project progress for notification to the client weekly, including project status update letters.
  • Act as primary point of contact on projects for sub-consultants and internal team members. Prepare, manage, and coordinate the project schedule with all team members.
  • Provide excellent communication through email, phone and face to face. Work with the Team Leader to navigate complicated or difficult messages to internal associates or clients.


  • Review weekly labor reports to ensure that project deliverables are receiving appropriate attention. 
  • Coordinate internal project deliverables in conjunction with internal project workflow documents and ensure that QAQC goals are met
  • Ensure that reports, plans and other deliverables meet the company's rigorous standards for quality prior to being submitted to clients or municipalities. When necessary maintain client provided standards on deliverables
  • As the primary sealing engineer for a project review deliverables to ensure client satisfaction and quality to avoid errors and omissions


  •  Keep an open-door policy with staff members to allow for review or projects, in- process training opportunities and technical mentorship of existing staff
  •  When necessary, communicate skill or project deficiencies quickly and clearly to make team adjustments that are consistent with company policies and excellence expectation.
  •  Understand labor, utilization, and project goals to effectively coordinate with the Team Leader on workload expectations.


  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field
  • Four or more years of experience post graduation
  • Experience and desire to work in open collaborative team environment
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Civil 3D to assist team with production efforts. 
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visa.
