Overview

We are seeking Project Engineer with 7+ years of experience to be part of our Structures team in Indianapolis, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Tampa or West Palm Beach.

 

This position will assist the Principal Engineer by leading a team of junior engineers in the production & technology group within the Structural Engineering department, and focuses on the technical aspects of project design.

Responsibilities

  • Provide drawings and/or sketches for designs to be incorporated into construction documents by the BIM team
  • Review shop drawings and submittals
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, MEP, Civil, etc
  • Learn and use structural analysis and BIM software
  • Attend and participate in project meetings
  • Conduct structural observations and prepare associated observation reports
  • General willingness to learn through over-the-shoulder training with direct supervisors, continuing education meetings, professional organization involvement, and technical documentation reading
  • Capable of executing projects in a fast-paced environment, and enthusiasm for working with a high performing team

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Master's degree preferred
  • 7+ years’ experience
  • Must be a licensed PE, NCEES record preferred or ability to obtain an NCEES record within 6 months of hire date
  • Experience with Parking Garage design. 
  • Knowledgeable with Adapt, SAP, RISA, or TEKLA preferred
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and work on large multi-discipline engineering teams
  • Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas
