Responsibilities

  • Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, WAPs, VPN)
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades on network equipment including service packs, patches, hot-fixes and security configurations.
  • Maintain robust network documentation and diagrams.
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Monitor and report on system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
  • Select and implement network related tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s IT Team.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT associates for problem resolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 1-6 years experience 

Network Engineer Qualifications/Skills:

  • Applied knowledge of the following network technologies:
    • Routing, BGP, SD-WAN, SSL VPN, Hub & Spoke IPSec VPN, DNS, VLANs
  • Network design and implementation
  • Network troubleshooting utilizing tools such as Wireshark
  • Project management
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; handle multiple priorities; and provide results in a timely manner in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize own work and manage time effectively.

Experience with the following products is a plus:

  • Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient)
  • Cisco Catalyst Switches (IOS)
  • Cisco Meraki Switches and Wireless Access Points
  • Arista DC Switches (EOS)
