Overview

We are seeking a Structural Project Manager with 7+ years of professional experience to be part of our Structural Engineering team. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. This position is open to Austin TX office.

 

This position leads a team within a local office serving a defined geographic region and can have other teams working alongside. The Project Manager is responsible for leading a team to get the work done while meeting financial targets. This role includes accountability for corresponding with the Market Leader(s) to obtain the resources needed to execute projects successfully and create raving fans of clients. This position requires the greatest level of communication and accuracy and is key to obtaining referrals and repeat business from our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform project management of structural engineering projects, including client coordination, team coordination, and project control (e.g. schedule, budget, design, quality, and profitability).
  • Manage self and team to realize the minimum required or more billable hours each week.
  • Execute and deliver various engineering projects on time, on budget, and exceed the performance expectations of the client.
  • Manage and assist with work on all phases of various structural engineering projects, preparation of drawings and specifications, design review, and coordination of construction documents.
  • Provide project team coordination for incorporating design intent into the construction documentation, specifications, and during construction administration.
  • Provide structural design, analysis and calculations, code research, and implementation.
  • Meet with clients, contractors, and agencies to develop strong professional relationships.
  • Maintain project document files, including meeting notes, financial information, client correspondence, and project schedule.
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of technical documents through quality assurance reviews at different phases of the project.
  • Participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Architectural engineering; Master's Degree preferred
  • Seven or more years of Structural experience post graduation
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE preferred
