Streamline Technologies is looking for a Software Engineer Intern – Fall 2025 for the Winter Springs, FL office. 

 

Streamline Technologies Inc. is a software development firm located in the Orlando area of Central Florida specializing in water resources engineering applications. Our philosophy and reputation are built on providing innovative software solutions such as the widely used hydrodynamic stormwater model, StormWise (formerly ICPR ®). Our stormwater and flood forecasting models include complex mathematical models that simulate the rainfall-runoff process, drainage systems, flooding and flood forecasting, groundwater flow, water quality impacts, and green stormwater infrastructure. Our applications center around a geospatial graphical interface that utilizes aerial imagery, thematic-based polygon map layers, and terrain surfaces.

Responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with senior software engineers on various software development projects
  • Developing applications
  • Debugging and testing code
  • Documenting and testing new software applications
  • Contribute to the improvement of existing software and the creation of new features
  • Researching, investigating, and fixing technical issues and bugs in software applications
  • Solving problems and developing innovative solutions
  • Pro-actively learning about new technologies

Qualifications

To join our team as a Software Engineer Intern, you should comply with the following requirements:

 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with various programming languages and frameworks
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to interact with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Highly developed analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of programming languages, development methodologies, and tools is a plus
  • Proficiency in common productivity software such as Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

The use of a telephone headset will allow for virtual communication with team members through Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit for prolonged periods, use hands/fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls reach with hands and arms, speak, and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
