Overview

We are seeking a Project Accounting Specialist with 2-5 years of billing experience to join our Finance and Accounting team in the Corporate office at West Palm Beach, FL

Responsibilities

  • Project Setup and Contract Review: Interpret contract language to extract key financial data for accurate project setup in the ERP system.  Ensure completeness and compliance with WGI standards.
  • Project Invoicing and Client Billing: Prepare, review, revise, and finalize invoices.  Distribute them through various methods with appropriate supporting documentation.  Respond to client inquiries related to billing and Certificates of Insurance.
  • Project Financial Management: Partner with Project Managers to resolve accounting issues such as budget variances, time and expense transfers, and unbilled revenue.  Prepare sub-consultant agreements and review sub-consultant invoices for accuracy and compliance prior to PM approval.
  • ERP Data Maintenance and Project Controls: Review project validation reports and update records to ensure accurate setup across all areas of the ERP system.  Maintain financial integrity and support effective project controls throughout the project life cycle.
  • Month-End Close and Revenue Recognition: Assist with month-end closing activities and support accurate revenue recognition across assigned projects.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Highschool Diploma or GED required
  • 2-5 years of billing experience preferred in engineering, construction, or professional services industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and multi-task
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and keep strong relationships
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve high-quality work products
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of BST a plus
  • Working knowledge of CITS (and other client processing sites) a plus
